Role: Technical Team Leader
Role Description : The Technical Team Leader is responsible for ·
Defining the development approach and standards to be used·
Confirming the build and testing tools, ensuring the correct
techniques are adopted.· Managing, co-ordinating the development
stream across the individual work streams ie Data Migration, Payroll
Interface HR development, MI reporting· Specifying the development
and testing environments and overseeing the installation· Agreeing
the detailed estimates and ensuring the work plans are in place to
support the published milestones· Identifying and managing any
'cross-team' specialist expertise (e.g. DBAs, CM, Security,
Performance, etc..) and the delivery environment support for the
delivery project· Identifying and promoting the re-use of any
components, patterns or techniques from other CGEY projects or
external organisations· Ensuring the Configuration management and
Release management procedures are in place and followed· Conducting
reviews of detailed designs, code and test plans to ensure the
highest quality of deliveries· Managing the technical issues and
risks raised and ensuring agreed actions are completed· Managing the
Incident Management activities during the System and UAT activities
Deliverables
Skills Required Previous experience(2-3 years) in team leading (up to
10 people ) in the development of an application solution Must have
experience in Peoplesoft in order to assist the staff with little or
fairly new PeopleSoft experience Experience in Peopletools, Query,
Component Interface Sequel server or Oracle (decision still to be
made) Experience in incident management and resolution Experience in
managing software releases and configuration management

Role: Technical Design Authority Project Manager
Role Description : The Technical design authority is responsible for
Evolving and refining the Delivery Architecture.· Ensuring that the
functional design, and if possible the requirements analysis, is
aligned with the target Delivery Architecture (in particular the
Applications Architecture Performance, volumes, scalability,
availability, security, manageability)· Ensure the overall ISD
technical strategy is considered during the development stages.
Agreeing design tasks and activities within project plans,
identifying cross-team design dependencies, and checking estimates
and timescales are realistic· Co-ordinating the Lead Designers both
from within the project and from other organisations · Liaise
directly with the ISD TDA to ensure consistency of approach and
